Today I got to help style a shoot for fellow friend, and make up artist Maile Meno, who's work can be seen throughout countless DISfunkshion photoshoots, and most of my work as well. And who better to shoot it none other than the talented mr. julian. HAROLD JULIAN that is. Here's a BIG teaser for the RADNESS that happened today. you'll see the end result much later; keep this in mind; it'll be blown later. YOUR mind that is....stay TUNED.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I would post all the new photo series from LAST night...but I'm not. My boy Aaron Yoshino aka Honozooloo (http://www.honozooloo.com/), is editing, cropping, and all the good stuff for better, WEB friendly ones. However, he did slide me a couple for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! (More to come...)

I haven't really said too much about the line, wanting to wait a little while before the show started; so I figure it's about time to give a little insight to what the collection is all about. I've been gearing towards a more bohemic vibe for this Post-Summer/Pre-Fall collection that blends both vintage styles and vintage fabric, with modern and wearable silhouettes. I've taken a lot of inspiration from the 70s, with that whole spirit of fun and nostalgia. I feel these pieces are modern in a way that these revitalized styles and silhouettes are much present today and I wanted to be a part of that to help capture the spirit of it all. So here's your 'sneak peek! (I know it's two similar pieces...lol. I want you guys to be there to see the rest!)
last mb fashion show.
i've been thinking about where i want to gear myself, and i've came to terms with my expectations. this will be my last fashion show...of 2009 that is. MORE to come in 2010. optimistic? sorta. just a little hiatus for a fashion renaissance. MB complete collection. mens&womens launch in 2010. stay tuned.
FASHION SHOW BY: MB, MECHAKAWA, AND LA PISTIL. ALSO SOME GREAT ART PIECES, AND MORE!
please come. it's for a good cause. seriously.
I got a call from my fellow friend, stylist Anne Au. She asked if I could help her style...yet again, adding to the hectic schedule of mine---but it's the best way to live---BUSY. Sometimes. We got together some sick outfits, featuring CLOTH Vintage, swimsuits by Dawn, and accessories provided by IslandSnow and So Good Jewelry.
Here's a sneak peek of what will go down in the next issue for Innov8 Magazine:
Also, in other news, the Ground Up Pirates gathered for the annual photoshoot to meet and greet peeps, chat it up, and ham it up like no other. Here's another sneakage for y'all...
I wish I could end by saying the hectic-ness is over, but this is only the BEGINNING. TBC
